LOCH LOCHY

Loch Lochy is the second biggest and first loch along the Great Glen Way, with the dramatic landscapes of Ben Nevis and surrounding mountains in the background. We start at the head of the canal at Gairlochy, then follow along the banks spotting different plants and wildlife, with some of the biggest trees you’ll find in the Lochaber area.

LOCH ARKAIG

As well as a popular fishing, Loch Arkaig hosts an array of natural beauty within the Allt Mhuic nature reserve, boasting the chance to see animals such as Red Deer and Osprey. Also, Invermallie Bothy is a great stop for a bite to eat on a cold day.
